Eyesight gives teams a web interface for exploring information held in PI data and asset servers. Users can look up event frames and view trends without installing PI System Explorer on every workstation.

The datasource builder connects to one or more PI Web API endpoints. This brings information from multiple PI servers into a common place for investigation and review.

Event frames and attributes: Search the databases exposed through PI Web API, locate an event frame, and inspect its attribute data. Use that context when investigating a period of operation or a specific event.
Trends: View a trend for a field data point directly in the browser. Move from a question about plant activity to the underlying time-series information within the same web interface.

Give audit review a clear process.

Eyesight supports review of both time-series changes and configuration changes from PI. Reviewers can inspect records, add context, and record a decision using configurable reason codes.

Collect the audit records: Configure PI data servers for scheduled pushes of audit records into Eyesight. Bring the changes that need attention into the review environment alongside the plant information.
Inspect and review: Choose to view, review, or print a record. Comments let a reviewer document the context of a change, while configurable reason codes provide a consistent way to describe the review.
Keep the decision: Review submissions, including their comments and reason codes, are stored in an immutable digital ledger. The recorded decision remains available as part of the review history.

Manage access and track application activity.

Operations, engineering, and review teams may need access to different areas of the system. Eyesight works with your existing directory groups and records activity within the application.

Eyesight connects to the AVEVA PI System through PI Web API using REST interfaces. A licensed PI System environment with PI Web API access is required.
